About the role
Join a welcoming primary school in Pendle as a Year 1 Class Teacher. This full‑time, temporary contract starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to shape young learners’ futures in a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover phonics, reading, writing and the wider Year 1 curriculum.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning while managing the classroom effectively.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the Year 1 team and senior leadership to support pupil progress.
Required profile
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or a relevant placement.
- Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, especially early literacy.
- Commitment to helping every child reach their academic, social and emotional potential.
