About the role
An exciting permanent position is available for a committed Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Didcot from September 2026. The role focuses on delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons for Key Stage 1 pupils and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive atmosphere that motivates children to learn.
- Assess, monitor and record pupil progress accurately.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support whole‑school improvement.
- Promote pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Recent experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom‑management skills.
- Passion for supporting young children’s learning.
- Commitment to high standards and positive outcomes.
