Year 1 Teacher – Key Stage 1 (Full-time, Temp-to-Perm)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic educator to lead a Year 1 class in a vibrant, inclusive primary school in Liverpool. You will be responsible for delivering the National Curriculum and creating a safe, engaging environment that supports high standards of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, focusing on reading, writing and maths.
• Take full responsibility for a Year 1 class, including lesson planning, delivery, assessment and reporting.
• Implement inclusive and differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to the school’s assessment and improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); early‑career teachers are welcome.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 or a strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and assessment.
• Commitment to inclusive education and community impact.
• Professional, reflective practitioner with a desire for continuous development.
• Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.
