About the role

An outstanding primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for a long‑term maternity cover. You will join a high‑achieving, supportive environment with excellent leadership and enthusiastic pupils.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that drive pupil progress.
Apply strong phonics knowledge and a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Collaborate effectively with the wider staff team.

Required profile

Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.
Strong phonics expertise and familiarity with the KS1 curriculum.
Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Team‑player attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
