Year 1 Teacher – Primary School (Greenwich)

About the role

TLTP Education is recruiting a Year 1 Teacher for a Good‑rated primary school in Greenwich, starting September 2026. The role is full‑time and permanent, supporting a vibrant classroom of early‑years learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Year 1 lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Mark student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with a teaching assistant to manage classroom behaviour and support individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and parent communication.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
• Proven experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1) in a primary setting.
• Ability to adapt lessons to diverse learning styles and needs.
• Strong organisational skills and a passion for pupil development.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Effective lesson planning and marking techniques.
• Capability to work collaboratively with support staff.
