About the role
An Outstanding Ofsted‑graded primary school in the Borough of Merton is seeking a passionate Year 1 Teacher to start in September 2026. The role is full‑time, permanent and based on‑site, offering the chance to inspire young learners and develop leadership pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Year 1 lessons in line with the UK Primary curriculum.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, ensuring outcomes meet or exceed teaching standards.
- Contribute to the school’s CPD programme and collaborative planning.
- Participate in subject, year‑group or phase leadership opportunities as they arise.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Strong understanding of the Primary curriculum and teaching standards.
- Passion for inspiring young minds and a creative approach to learning.
- Ability to work within a high‑performing, multicultural school environment.
