About the role
This full‑time, temporary position is for a Year 1 Teaching Assistant in a friendly primary school in Blackpool. You will work alongside the class teacher to support young learners as they begin their primary education.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils.
- Help maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
- Support pupils’ learning and development throughout the school day.
Required profile
- Experience working with children (school experience desirable).
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Proactive and adaptable in the classroom.
- Relevant TA qualification is desirable but not essential.

What we offer
- £14.25 – £15.20 per hour (inclusive of statutory holiday pay).
- Full‑time, long‑term temporary contract with potential to become permanent.
