Year 2 Class Teacher

About the role

This full‑time, fixed‑term position is for a Year 2 teacher at a well‑regarded two‑form entry primary school in Ealing Broadway. You will join a collaborative Key Stage 1 team and help deliver a high‑quality, inclusive curriculum for a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a Year 2 class across the primary curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 assessment framework where appropriate.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Monitor progress and use assessment data to inform teaching.
• Work closely with the parallel Year 2 teacher and the wider KS1 team.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Secure understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment.
• High expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
