About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Year 2 Class Teacher for a Good‑rated primary school in West London. The role is full‑time, temporary and runs until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver daily lessons for Year 2 pupils.
- Mark assessments, record progress and provide feedback to parents.
- Organise and attend parent evenings and staff meetings.
- Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of Key Stage 1 teaching experience in the UK.
- Current safeguarding training (within the last year).
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check.
Required skills
- Classroom management.
- Lesson planning and assessment.
- Effective communication with parents and colleagues.
