Year 2 Supply Teacher – Canterbury Primary Schools

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Canterbury to find enthusiastic Year 2 teachers for long‑term and day‑to‑day supply assignments. You will support pupils as they complete Key Stage 1 and prepare for the transition to Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for Year 2 classes.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to support development.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to promote student success.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
