Year 2 Teacher – Full‑time Primary School (Luton)

About the role

A welcoming primary school in Luton is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to start in September 2026. The position is full‑time for the academic year and offers a daily rate of £150‑£180, paid through PAYE.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons covering phonics, reading, writing and mathematics.
• Support pupils in achieving their academic and personal potential.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting instruction to individual needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
• Strong understanding of phonics, reading, writing and mathematics.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Enthusiastic, organised and committed approach to teaching.
