Year 2 Teacher – Full‑time (Temp to Perm) – September Start

About the role

An inclusive primary school in Leigh is looking for a dedicated Year 2 teacher to join its Key Stage 1 team on a full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent basis starting in September. The role focuses on building strong early learning foundations and preparing pupils for the end of KS1 and upcoming SATs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons that develop phonics, literacy and numeracy.
• Assess pupil progress and provide targeted support where needed.
• Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

Required profile

• A qualified teacher with experience in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Strong knowledge of phonics schemes and early assessment frameworks.
• Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Commitment to supporting all learners, including those with additional needs.
