Year 2 Teacher – Primary School – Islington (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Islington. The successful candidate will lead a class of 26‑27 pupils, delivering engaging lessons that follow the KS1 national curriculum and support each child’s development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for Year 2.
• Assess pupil progress regularly and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.
• Collaborate with senior staff to support the school’s SEN provision, including ASD and SEMH learners.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and parent communication.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised in England.
• Previous experience teaching KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2) is essential.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Effective assessment and data‑driven planning.
