Year 2 Teacher – Primary School (Preston)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 teacher to join an Ofsted "Good" primary school with outstanding features in Preston. You will lead a mixed‑ability Year 2 class, delivering the KS1 curriculum and fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the Year 2 SAT curriculum across all subjects.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including EAL learners.
• Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Assess pupil progress regularly and use data to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team and participate in CPD activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Year 2, preferably with SAT curriculum knowledge.
• Proven ability to differentiate instruction and manage classroom behaviour.
• Commitment to inclusive education and community engagement.
