Year 3 Teacher – Full‑time (Temporary) – Stockport

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Year 3 teacher to join a larger‑than‑average primary school in Brinnington, Stockport. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September and focuses on delivering the UK Year 3 curriculum to a diverse community of learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, paced lessons that meet the Year 3 curriculum objectives.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff to support wellbeing and progress.
• Maintain classroom behaviour with calm, consistent approaches.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to tailor learning for all abilities, including average SEND levels.
• Partner with parents and carers to involve them actively in each child’s learning journey.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the Year 3 national curriculum and ability to apply it confidently.
• Excellent rapport with pupils and families, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Ability to deliver lessons that keep momentum, focus, and motivation.
• Patience, resilience, and a calm approach to daily challenges.
• Commitment to working closely with parents as partners.
