Year 4 Class Teacher – Full‑Time (Southend‑on‑Sea)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Year 4 teacher to join a well‑regarded primary school in Southend‑on‑Sea from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons to a full‑time Year 4 class and supporting pupils as they progress through Lower Key Stage 2.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality KS2 lessons that challenge and motivate pupils.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted support for diverse learning needs.
• Maintain a calm, structured and positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with parallel teachers, teaching assistants and support staff on planning and interventions.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and CPD activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Proven experience teaching in a UK primary classroom.
• Strong communication, organisational and classroom‑management skills.
• Proactive, flexible attitude with a passion for enjoyable learning experiences.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
