Year 4 Class Teacher

About the role

SANZA Teaching Agency is partnering with a well‑regarded primary school in Islington to recruit a Year 4 Class Teacher. The role starts on 1 September 2026 and will initially cover a maternity leave for the full academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position thereafter.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the Year 4 curriculum across all core subjects.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and manage behaviour using the school’s restorative approach.
• Collaborate with the parallel class teacher on shared planning and teaching strategies.
• Participate in one half‑day per week of PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and parent engagement.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with UK QTS.
• Passionate about teaching and learning with a creative, adaptable style.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Committed to high academic standards and inclusive practice.
• Open to both experienced teachers and early‑career teachers (ECTs); induction can be provided.

• Day rate between £206.75 and £268.21.
• Full‑time, contract position covering the academic year.
