Year 4 Teacher (KS2) – Barnet Primary School

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with Barnet primary schools to recruit a confident Year 4 Teacher for September 2026. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and focuses on delivering the KS2 National Curriculum with creativity and rigour.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach Year 4 lessons covering times tables, reading for pleasure, written composition and mathematical reasoning.
• Use data and assessment to personalise learning and track pupil progress.
• Support pupils with SEND and EAL, differentiating instruction to meet mixed‑ability needs.
• Collaborate with the year‑group team on shared planning and collaborative practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• KS2 teaching experience, preferably in Years 3‑5.
• Familiarity with the Multiplication Tables Check and strategies for times‑tables fluency.
• Strong subject knowledge in core and foundation subjects.
• Confidence in differentiation for SEND, EAL and mixed‑ability groups.
• Effective use of formative and summative assessment to drive progress.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding knowledge.
