Year 5 Teacher – Maternity Cover (Knutsford)

About the role
Astro Education is partnering with a well‑regarded village primary school near Knutsford to find a passionate Year 5 teacher for a maternity cover starting in September. This full‑time, fixed‑term position offers the chance to work in a supportive community with enthusiastic pupils.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons that meet the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the leadership team.
- Contribute to wider school activities and events.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 2.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Enthusiastic, nurturing and committed approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
