About the role

A welcoming primary school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a passionate Year 5 Teacher to join its Key Stage 2 team from September 2026. You will inspire pupils during a pivotal stage of their education, delivering engaging lessons in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver inclusive Year 5 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with Key Stage 2 colleagues to create a cohesive learning experience.
• Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere.
• Utilise Teaching Assistant support to enhance student outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Recent experience teaching Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management abilities.
• Ability to commute to Hemel Hempstead.
