Year 5 Teacher – Primary School

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in Enfield. The successful candidate will start in September and will be responsible for a class of 29 pupils, delivering the national curriculum with creativity and care.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for Year 5 pupils.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress regularly, adapting teaching to meet diverse abilities.
• Maintain a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages motivation and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive, inclusive learning experience.
• Provide strong SEN support for pupils with ADHD, SEMH and related needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory.
• Previous experience teaching Key Stage 2 (KS2) in a primary setting.
• Excellent classroom management and a passion for student development.
• Commitment to the school’s inclusive ethos and continuous improvement.

• Planning and delivering lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Assessing pupil progress and using data to inform instruction.
• Differentiating learning to accommodate a range of abilities.
