About the role

Leigh Primary School is looking for a confident Year 5 Teacher to join the team on a full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent basis. The role starts immediately with a flexible start date and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on pupils transitioning to Year 6.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons that meet the KS2 curriculum.
Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to support all learners.
Maintain a positive, focused classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance learning.

Required profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent KS2 teaching experience, preferably Year 5.
Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
Commitment to raising attainment and pupil outcomes.
