Year 6 Class Teacher

About the role

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Year 6 Class Teacher for a thriving Ofsted "Good" primary school in West London. The role is full‑time and temporary, covering the academic year from September 2026 to July 2027, with the possibility of extension or a permanent offer based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 6 lessons across the curriculum.
• Mark assessments, record progress and provide feedback to pupils and parents.
• Organise and attend parent evenings and staff meetings.
• Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment and uphold safeguarding policies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow teachers to enhance school performance.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of Key Stage 2 teaching experience in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Effective classroom management.
• Strong lesson planning and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication with pupils, parents and colleagues.

What we offer

• Daily rate between £206.75 and £268.20.
• Full‑time schedule: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time).
