Year 6 Supply Teacher – Tonbridge Primary Schools

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Tonbridge to find enthusiastic Year 6 teachers for long‑term and day‑to‑day supply assignments. You will guide pupils through their final year of primary education, helping them build confidence and readiness for secondary school.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons for Year 6 classes.
• Prepare pupils for end‑of‑key‑stage assessments.
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment.
• Manage behaviour and maintain high standards of discipline.
• Build constructive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably Upper KS2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Commitment to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development.
• Professionalism, enthusiasm and a passion for teaching.
