About the role

The school in Hayes is looking for a dedicated Year 6 teacher to join its primary team from September 2026. This full‑time, permanent position involves delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum and preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in literacy, numeracy and independent learning.
• Establish clear routines and positive behaviour expectations.
• Use assessment data to identify next steps and support pupils of all abilities.
• Build strong partnerships with families and collaborate with colleagues.
• Prepare students for end‑of‑key‑stage assessments and secondary school transition.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Experience teaching at Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable).
• Ability to create a fair, respectful and encouraging learning environment.
• Commitment to consistent communication and professional collaboration.
