Year 6 Teacher – Primary School – Hackney (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Year 6 Teacher to join our inclusive primary school in Hackney. You will lead a class of 29 pupils, delivering engaging lessons that prepare them for the transition to secondary school.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons across the full KS2 curriculum.
• Provide targeted interventions to support pupils who need additional help.
• Prepare students for the end‑of‑KS2 assessments and the move to secondary education.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents to create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching Upper KS2 or Year 6 pupils.
• Strong organisational skills and enthusiasm for primary education.
• Ability to inspire confidence, independence and achievement in students.
