Year 6 Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the Borough of Westminster. The role supports the Key Stage 2 team during term time, focusing on raising attainment in maths and English for Year 6 pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver small‑group interventions and one‑to‑one support for Year 6 students.
• Assist the class teacher with whole‑class activities and classroom management.
• Provide targeted support in maths and English to improve pupil outcomes.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, parents and carers to monitor progress.
• Work on‑site from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, term‑time only.

Required profile

• Level 3 childcare qualification or a university degree.
• Minimum six months experience in a primary school setting.
• Strong numeracy and literacy abilities.
• Clear and confident communication with children, staff, parents and carers.
