About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 6/PPA teacher to join a two‑form entry primary school in Castle Bromwich starting September 2026. The position is full‑time and temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 6 pupils, covering the National Curriculum.
- Provide PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) support to enhance student outcomes.
- Prepare students for SATS and monitor progress to ensure target grades are achieved.
- Collaborate with senior staff, parents and colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); positions also open to newly qualified teachers (NQTs).
- Passionate, well‑motivated classroom practitioner with a caring nature.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and ability to identify individual student needs.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Required skills
- Experience preparing students for SATS.
- Ability to inspire and engage children, staff and parents.
