Young Adult Support Worker - Homelessness

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Young Adult Support Worker to join our team in North London, providing vital assistance to homeless young adults. You will work on a rotating schedule, delivering personalised support that promotes wellbeing, recovery and successful move‑on.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a caseload of four key clients and develop personalised Support Plans.
- Conduct ongoing risk, needs and assessments.
- Work within a psychologically informed environment to manage challenging behaviours and complex needs.
- Collaborate with statutory teams and multi‑agency partners, including social workers and mental health professionals.
- Ensure accommodation is properly maintained and support tenancy sustainability.
- Encourage client participation in community activities, education, training, employment and volunteering.
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and respond to emergencies.
- Prepare incident reports and submit them to management.
Required profile
- Experience supporting clients with mental health and/or drug/alcohol dependency issues.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload, create support plans and conduct assessments.
- Comfort working with clients displaying challenging behaviour.
- Strong professional boundaries and discretion.
- Experience working with multi‑agency teams.
- Confidence in a psychologically informed setting.
- Clear understanding of safeguarding requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse cultures.
