Young People Support Specialist – Frontline Support Role

About the role

Nova Care Group is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Young People Support Specialists. You will work directly with vulnerable youth who have experienced significant challenges, providing a stable, safe environment and acting as a trusted role model.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with young people and act as a calming presence.
• De‑escalate challenging situations using effective communication.
• Travel across the North East to support service users in various settings.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Participate in regular supervision and training sessions.

Required profile

• Patient, resilient and emotionally aware.
• Willing to learn, grow and make a difference on tough days.
• Ability to see beyond behaviour and understand underlying causes.
• Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
• Flexibility to work a 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern.
