Young People Support Worker – Part‑time (28 hrs/week)

About the role

As a Young People Support Worker in Whitley Bay you will provide practical, emotional and goal‑focused assistance to young people, helping them build the confidence, skills and resilience needed for independent living. You will manage a caseload, develop person‑centred support plans and guide clients through key transitions such as leaving care, sustaining accommodation and accessing education or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, supportive accommodation and champion the wellbeing of every client.
• Create and implement personalised support plans that empower individuals toward independence.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with young people, colleagues and partner organisations.
• Encourage participation in education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities.
