Young People Support Worker – Residential & Community Care

About the role

Paragon Social Care is seeking compassionate individuals to provide specialist support for children and young people in local authority care. The role involves working in residential settings and community‑based packages across Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, helping young people build stability, confidence and a brighter future.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, consistent, trauma‑informed support to children and young people.
• Build positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect.
• Support education, life‑skills development and independence.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, activities and healthy routines.
• Transport young people to school, appointments and community activities.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure high‑quality care.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding processes.

Required profile

• Reliable with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Confident communicator with young people and professionals.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
