Young Person Support Worker – Bournemouth

About the role

We are looking for a caring Young Person Support Worker to join our team in Bournemouth, providing safe and nurturing accommodation for unaccompanied 16‑18‑year‑olds. You will help residents feel settled, develop daily‑living skills and build confidence for a brighter future.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Provide emotional and practical support, encouraging independence.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of daily activities.
• Assist residents through challenging situations with empathy and patience.
• Work both independently and as part of a supportive team.

Required profile

• Compassionate and resilient attitude.
• Experience working with teenagers or vulnerable youth.
• Understanding of trauma, loss and emotional wellbeing.
• Confidence to work alone when required.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours.
• Calm, tolerant and inclusive approach.

Required skills

• Good record‑keeping and communication abilities.
