About the role
This contract position focuses on designing, building and enhancing a Zabbix monitoring platform for a 24/7 operation. You will work remotely for an initial six‑month period, collaborating closely with NOC and engineering teams to ensure reliable, actionable alerts.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and optimise the Zabbix monitoring solution.
- Ensure alerts are actionable and support efficient triage by the NOC.
- Develop integrations with vendor platforms, APIs and SNMP sources.
- Define and maintain SOPs for alert triage and escalation.
- Collaborate with NOC and engineering teams to support continuous monitoring.
Required profile
- Strong hands‑on experience with Zabbix (design, build, optimisation).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash or similar.
- Exposure to service‑aware monitoring or observability approaches (desirable).
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
