3rd Line Support Engineer – Projects & Client Services

About the role

Surf Tech IT is seeking a proactive 3rd Line Support Engineer to deliver project‑based implementations and high‑level technical support for clients across Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Based in our new Stourport office, you will work on‑site and remotely, helping customers solve complex IT challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide third‑line support for Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure and related technologies.
• Lead on‑site project implementations, including networking, storage and virtualisation solutions.
• Produce clear documentation for configurations and procedures.
• Travel to client sites as required and manage multiple tickets under pressure.
• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and problem‑solving.

Required profile

• Attention to detail, persistence and excellent client‑care attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar third‑line or project support role.
• UK driving licence and ability to travel to client locations.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and handle challenging situations.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows Server design and implementation.
• Active Directory design and management.
• Microsoft 365 (M365) implementation and support.
• Azure cloud services, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune.
• Next‑gen firewalls (e.g., SonicWall) and networking fundamentals.
• Virtualisation technologies – Hyper‑V and VMware.
• Storage solutions and general IT infrastructure knowledge.
