Accounts Assistant – Hybrid – South Croydon

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Manage a defined portfolio of client accounts and prepare documentation for external audit.
• Prepare statutory accounts, handle tax affairs and process year‑end journal entries and adjustments.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items, calculate surplus/deficit amounts and issue invoices or credit notes.
• Act as the main contact for external auditors and internal managers, resolving queries efficiently.
• Support compliance by assisting with the preparation of key financial notices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or Assistant Accountant.
• Solid knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
