About the role
We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join our team on a full‑time, temporary basis. The role is hybrid, with Mondays in the office and the remainder of the week working remotely. You will provide specialist legal advice and representation across a range of adult social care matters.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit applications to the Court of Protection and the High Court.
- Advocate on behalf of clients in Court of Protection proceedings.
- Conduct age assessments and manage Junior Reports (JRs) as required.
- Handle applications for displacement of nearest relatives in County Court.
- Interpret and apply the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 in casework.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in adult social care law.
- Proven ability to make court applications and conduct advocacy.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Ability to work independently and manage a hybrid schedule.
