Advanced Cancer Care Pharmacist – Cellular Therapies

About the role

The Advanced Cancer Care Pharmacist will work within the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, supporting patients receiving CAR‑T cell therapy and autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplants. This position sits at the forefront of cellular therapy delivery, contributing to innovative cancer treatments and clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the pharmaceutical delivery of CAR‑T cell therapy, autologous stem cell transplants and other Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) for patients.
• Collaborate closely with the haematology pharmacy team to ensure safe and effective therapy administration.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new treatment pipelines and clinical trial activities.
• Engage in service‑improvement projects and pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

Required profile

• Master of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent) and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Independent Prescribing qualification.
• Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma, MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, or demonstrable competence to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Core Advanced Curriculum.
• Experience influencing prescribing practice and a patient‑focused approach.
• Cancer pharmacy experience with training in Systemic Anticancer Treatment (SACT) verification.
