Advanced Cancer Care Pharmacist

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, forward‑thinking and highly motivated pharmacist to join the Cancer Services Senior Pharmacy Team. The post will enable continued provision of pharmacist independent prescribing clinics for patients with haematological and solid tumour malignancies receiving systemic anti‑cancer therapies (SACT).

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent prescribing clinics for patients receiving SACT.
• Collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary team to develop new SACT delivery models.
• Lead programmes to deliver SACT outside the acute hospital setting.
• Coordinate education for pharmacy and medical undergraduate students.
• Contribute to protocol and guideline development through SACT and medicines governance groups.

Required profile

• Master of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent) and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Independent Prescribing qualification.
• Proven experience influencing prescribing in a cancer setting.
• Track record of delivering person‑centred pharmaceutical care.
• Progress across the RPS Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum or a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification.
