Aerospace Fitter – Precision Assembly (Manchester)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Aerospace Fitters to join a leading aerospace manufacturer at its modern facility in Manchester. The role involves assembling metallic aerospace structures to the highest quality and safety standards, working a compressed four‑day week with overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble metallic aerospace structures in line with aerospace quality standards and SOPs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and aerospace specifications.
• Perform precision fitting operations such as drilling, countersinking, riveting, sealant application, and installation of helicoils, bearings and bushes.
• Use calibrated tools and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain 5S standards and safe working practices.
• Complete a practical trade test as part of the interview process.

Required profile

• Proven airframe/structural assembly experience in aerospace or high‑precision engineering.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings and aerospace specifications.
• Hands‑on experience with core aerospace fitting processes.
• Commitment to quality, safety and compliance standards.
