After School Club Teaching Assistant (Part‑time, Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated After School Club Teaching Assistant to join our team in Catford. The role involves supporting and assisting the after‑school club during term time, providing a safe and engaging environment for pupils. This is a part‑time contract position running from September 2026 until July 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the club leader in delivering planned activities and homework support.
• Supervise children between 15:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Help set up and clear materials, maintain a tidy environment, and support behaviour management.
• Report any incidents or concerns to senior staff in line with safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of classroom experience in the UK.
• Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and registration with the online update service.
• Two professional references covering the last two years, related to child work.
