Alarm Receiving Centre Operator – Security Operations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Alarm Receiving Centre Operator to join our Protective Security Operations Centre. The role is essential for safeguarding critical infrastructure by monitoring alarms, CCTV and access‑control systems and responding to incidents in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, intrusion detection and other security systems across multiple critical sites.
• Respond promptly to alarms, triggers and inbound communications.
• Escalate incidents to internal teams and external agencies, including emergency services, following established procedures.
• Accurately record incidents, actions taken and any system faults.
• Manage access‑control requests for secure locations.
• Support system testing, fault identification and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, legislation and information‑security standards.

Required profile

• Experience working in a control‑room, security operations or a similar environment.
• Strong decision‑making skills under pressure and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
• IT literate and confident using security system interfaces.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
