Application Developer – Identity & Cloud APIs

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to design and implement secure identity and access workflows on Google Cloud Platform. You will build and maintain APIs, Pub/Sub pipelines, and cloud‑native services that automate IAM processes for a financial services consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement identity lifecycle flows (provisioning, de‑provisioning, orchestration) integrating Cloud Identity, ServiceNow and internal systems.
• Develop, secure and document RESTful APIs, SDKs and middleware, ensuring high performance and observability.
• Build Pub/Sub pipelines for asynchronous processing, including audit logging, security anomaly detection and event‑driven automation.
• Create Cloud Functions, Cloud Run services or containerised workloads with robust retry, idempotency and DLQ handling.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules for IAM, APIs, Pub/Sub and related cloud resources.
• Automate deployments via CI/CD pipelines and implement automated testing for policies and APIs.
• Collaborate with Cloud Security, DevOps and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and support security audits.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across distributed teams.
• Experience delivering secure, scalable solutions in a cloud‑first environment.

Required skills

• Identity orchestration platforms such as Auth0 Actions, Okta Workflows, WorkOS or SlashID.
• Programming in Python, Go or Node.js.
• Building cloud‑native APIs with Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes/GKE.
• Event‑driven architectures using Pub/Sub.
• Deep knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML and identity federation.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (or similar).
• Familiarity with API gateways, reverse proxies or service mesh technologies.
