Area Manager – Contract Cleaning (South London) – £38‑40k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead our contract cleaning operations across South London and Kent. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple commercial cleaning sites, driving growth, and ensuring high standards of service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of cleaning contracts and multiple site locations.
• Lead and develop site managers and supervisors to meet performance targets.
• Support the company’s growth strategy through recruitment and acquisition of new contracts.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for account management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards across all sites.

Required profile

• Proven track record of managing several cleaning or facilities sites simultaneously.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in account management.
• Ability to motivate teams and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning services.
