Area Sales Manager – Commercial Boilers & Heat Pumps

About the role

This is a field‑sales position focused on selling a full range of commercial boilers, hot‑water systems and heat pumps across the North region. You will work closely with a dedicated specification manager and spend the majority of your time engaging with M&E consultants, contractors, engineers and housing organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell commercial boilers, hot‑water systems and heat pumps to M&E consultants, contractors, housing associations and developers.
• Manage the full sales cycle for orders ranging from £5k to over £200k.
• Generate new business (≈70%) while maintaining existing accounts (≈30%).
• Focus on commercial projects such as universities, hospitals and hotels.
• Collaborate with the specification manager to ensure accurate technical proposals.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling to M&E consultants, contractors, engineers, housing associations or developers.
• Background in technical HVAC, plumbing or heating product sales.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Self‑starter, relationship builder and strong communicator.

• Salary £55,000‑£65,000 plus annual bonus £10,000‑£12,000.
