About the role
This programme offers high‑achieving graduates a permanent Secondary Teaching Assistant position in a top‑rated London secondary school, with a pathway to salaried teacher training. The role starts in September 2025 and transitions to a Schools Direct teacher training contract in September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Support subject teachers across Key Stages 3‑5, delivering classroom assistance and targeted interventions.
- Assist with GCSE and A‑Level preparation, including revision sessions and assessment support.
- Shadow experienced teachers, observe best practices, and contribute to lesson planning.
- Help raise pupil attainment by providing personalised support and monitoring progress.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with strong academic record.
- Motivation to train as a secondary school teacher.
- Willingness to work in subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Geography, History or Modern Foreign Languages.
- Commitment to a full‑time, permanent contract starting September 2025.
