Assistant Accountant – Property Consultancy

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Junior Accountant to join our fast‑growing professional services client in Birmingham city centre. Working within a property consultancy environment, you will support the preparation of financial statements and management accounts for key clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for client sites and entities.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and report accrued and prepaid income.
• Process accruals and pre‑payments.
• Analyse large data sets and relay relevant information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with a variety of finance and non‑finance contacts.

Required profile

• Prior experience processing accruals and pre‑payments.
• Exposure to balance‑sheet reconciliation in a previous finance role.
• Currently studying for ACCA or CIMA, or holding a part‑qualified accounting qualification.
• Confident communicator who enjoys stakeholder interaction.
