Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

A well‑regarded cost consultancy based in London is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed‑use projects across the UK, supporting cost management from pre‑contract through to final accounts. Working under experienced Quantity Surveyors, you will develop technical knowledge and progress towards MRICS chartership.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost plans, tender documents and procurement advice.
• Support the management of valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Attend site visits and project meetings with senior team members.
• Help maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Gain exposure to a variety of contract types, including JCT and NEC.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• 1‑3 years' experience in a UK consultancy or cost management role.
• Working towards MRICS or interested in starting APC.
• Strong numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.
