Assistant Tax Manager – Private Advisory

About the role

Join Grant Thornton’s Private Tax Advisory team as an Assistant Tax Manager, supporting high‑net‑worth individuals, families and their businesses. You will work on complex tax planning projects, providing bespoke advice and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical tax research and analysis for corporate restructurings, disposals, inheritance tax and trust planning.
• Prepare high‑quality tax reports and liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of clients.
• Support clients in UK and international tax matters, including residency and personal tax planning.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK and international tax legislation and case law.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop integrated advisory solutions.

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification (ACA, CTA, ATT, ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience in private client or corporate tax advisory, preferably with high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Strong research ability and attention to detail.
• Confidence in client interaction and relationship building.

Required skills

• ACA, CTA, ATT or ACCA qualification.
• Technical knowledge of UK and international tax law.
• Experience with tax structuring, inheritance tax, estate planning and trust arrangements.
