Associate Director – Research & Analysis, FIG

About the role

The Associate Director, R&A FIG will join ANZ's Institutional Banking division in London, leading credit research and analysis for the Financial Institutions Group. You will work across the full credit lifecycle, from origination to portfolio monitoring, ensuring high‑quality analysis supports sound credit decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line defence on credit risk together with relationship executives.
• Lead the production of credit analyses, risk grading, and documentation for NBFIs and financial sponsors.
• Represent R&A and Relationship Management teams in GCA and GIA reviews.
• Drive cross‑divisional, cross‑border and multi‑product collaboration to align with FIG strategic objectives.
• Develop and execute strategies for new transaction onboarding, deal structuring, and deteriorating credit management.

Required profile

• Extensive banking experience with strong relationship credit‑management background.
• Advanced collaboration, networking and communication abilities.
• Client‑focused mindset with proven capability to lead due‑diligence activities and negotiations.
